FAQ

Frequently Asked Question.

Here are a few questions that we have been asked a lot

Do you use tilt-shift lenses?

No! Everything is shot with regular lenses. The tilt-shift effect is applied in post production with Da Vinci Resolve Studio.

This allows for much greater flexibility when editing and also gives the opportunity to use the raw material for other projects were the miniature effect is not required.

What time-lapse intervals do you shoot?

That depends very much on the speed of the subject.

Sunrises and sunsets may be shot usually with and interval from 5 sec to 30 sec, while startrails are usually shoot with a on minute interval or longer. Faster moving objects like traffic are usually shot in real-time and then sped up in post accordingly.

Can I use any Little Big World fooatge in my project?

Absolutely Not! Any reproduction or republication of all or parts of these video is expressly prohibited, unless spoonfilm has explicitly granted its prior written consent. All other rights reserved.

Where do you get your music from?

We have worked with a variety of libraries through the years.

Here is a list of the most frequent used ones: Partners in Rhyme, Pond 5, Audiio, Musicloops, Musopen, Filmstro and more. Recently a lot of the soundtracks have been created with Udio.

Do you use drones for all your shots?

No, in fact we prefer to shoot from vantage points with a regular camera on a tripod whenver possible. Of course  sometimes a drone may be the ony option to get a certain shot. But if there is a vantage point somewere, you can be sure that the first thing we do is to climb up there.
