Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a ski town in Bavaria, southern Germany, which borders Austria. Nearby is Germany’s highest mountain, Zugspitze.

You even take a train from the city center which brings you directly to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain peak in Germany.
